Nvidia's Blazing-Fast Mobile Chip
Nvidia is finally bringing its Fermi graphics architecture to notebooks with the GeForce GTX 480M graphics processor, announced this week. Though it's a lot less powerful than the desktop equivalent, the company is probably right when it claims it'll be the fastest graphics chip for laptops when it shows up in systems in a month or two. It will also probably use more power than any other laptop graphics chip, so don't expect to see it outside of those big desktop replacement systems. - Senior Editor Jason Cross
