CES is one of the biggest annual electronic shows in the world, and it only happens in Las Vegas. As we know that HP is now the owner of Palm, so this year both giants will attend the CES 2011 in Las Vegas. Lets go back in the past, Palm officially unveiled the WebOS and the first WebOS powered phone Palm Pre during the CES 2009. And then during the CES 2010, Palm bring the Palm Pre Plus and Palm Pixi Plus. So what actually I am trying to say is that CES is Palm favorite event, and they love unveiling new toys during CES, so we can expect some new stuff from Palm and HP .Rumors has it that HP and Palm will bring the WebOS 2.0, as we saw the leaked screenshots of it a few day ago, so it could be possible, and I am sure that WebOS 2.0 will bring some new phones too. Also words are going around that HP and Palm will bring the WebOS powered tablet PalmPad in early 2011, which means that the unveiling of the PalmPad is possible. Well, I hope we will see some good stuff this year by HP and Palm during the CES 2011.

Alright, so i traveled to Vienna this Weekend and scored a Nokia N8. I already gave some Impressions back in may, when i first had my hands on the 12MP Imaging Flagship from Nokia. I can’t say that my impressions have changed much – if you love to create multimedia on the go, the Nokia N8 should be your first choice.  Anyways, i’ve been using it the past 2 days and as you would expect, i took a load of pictures, just to see how well it actually performs. I don’t have an iPhone4 to put it against, but i think the results speak for themselves, no?

I’m still waiting to receive my *own* Nokia N8, which is preordered in Germany, but still hasn’t shipped, as the orange ones are still in “preorder” status, while all other colours are shipping already. save your comments. lol anyways, i’m super excited to finally get my own Nokia N8 and raise hell with it. I already have some great ideas in mind for coverage, so stay tuned for more soon!

For now, here are 89 pictures i took with the Nokia N8. I tried to snap all kinds of conditions also tried wrong settings, like auto mode for portrait snaps, which you might notice on the red eyes. I also corrected 2 red-eyed pics with the built in Picture editor. It might all be a bit rushed, but as promised, Lots of more pictures and goodies will be up soon!

A few months ago, we started a competition on FoneArena, which is known as the FoneArena Smartphone Championship. There were total 16 contestants, and today we have the winner, and before announcing, FoneArena want to say thanks to everyone for voting, and keeping this tournament alive, all the credit goes to the readers who voted and supported their favorite phones like a true fanboys. Now the champion, the winner of the Smartphone Championship is the Nokia N900. Nokia N900 got some great support from its fans from the first day, and in the final, Nokia N900 beats Samsung Galaxy S by a very great margin. Nokia N900 got 5,985 votes, and the Galaxy S got 2,734 votes, and the total is 8,719 votes. We want to say thanks again to everyone for voting.

So N900 users, enjoy your victory, and Samsung Galaxy S users, losing is the part of the game, so don’t think that your Galaxy S is a loser (I know you don’t), because the Galaxy S made to the final, and also a winner. Here is a gallery showing the camera comparisons between the Nokia N8 and the Canon IXUS 130 digital camera. Let’s see who the winner is.The Nokia N8 has been set to the 9 Megapixel Mode and the Canon IXUS 130 is on the 10 Megapixel Mode.

The pictures taken by the Nokia N8 are on the left and the Canon are on the right. From the pictures, we can clearly see that though the Canon has a higher resolution thanks to the higher MP setting, the Nokia N8 produces more detailed and sharper pictures.

Anyway let’s wait and see for more comparisons and reviews to take a proper decision.
