Posted: 15 Nov 2010 04:49 PM PST

Near Field Communication or NFC, is a short-range high frequency wireless communication technology which enables the exchange of data between devices over about a 10 centimeter distance. Xavier Des Horts, the communications director of Nokia, recently said during an interview that NFC will be activated in the Nokia C7 via firmware update at the beginning of 2011. Nokia C7 will be able to perform applications such as pairing with a headset, playing games and storing coupons. Xavier Des Horts also said that the Finnish manufacturer is working on this technology for a long time and Nokia C7 is the 6th phone from Nokia with an NFC chip.

Samsung Galaxy 2 to feature a Dual-Core processor

Posted: 15 Nov 2010 11:45 AM PST

Well, we don't know is the device real or not, but our very good friend Eldar Murtazin tweeted that "Playing with se anzo and galaxy 2 aka i9100. Se is nice but sams is so technically advanced. Dual core etc". As Eldar is saying that both phones are nice, but Galaxy 2 is technically better than the SE Anzu, because it comes with a dual core processor. As Samsung recently announced the new dual-core processor, so it could be true. Well, I hope Eldar Murtazin will share some more information about the Galaxy 2 with us. So folks stay tuned, and tell us what do you think about a dual-core CPU on your phone ?

Proporta iPhone 4 Silicon with SteriTouch Review

The case is not the one which offers the ultimate protection for your device , but it's just a nice silicon case. It adds a good amount of grip to the phone and makes gripping the shiny  iPhone 4 a more easier. The volume keys and the power button are covered beneath the rubber while the 3.5mm audio jack , silent key are exposed. The camera and the flash is also left open and does not come in the way of you clicking pictures. The company claims that this case also offers a solution to the famous Antenna gate problem of the iPhone 4. The speaker and dock connector are left open as well It's a pretty good silicon case and would have appreciated if it came along with some sort of screen protection. It does however have slightly raised edges on the front. Head over to the Product Page to check it out !

Nokia N8 Review Week – The Wrap Up

Posted: 15 Nov 2010 06:21 AM PST

The N8 is a great device in terms of hardware and looks. I have been been carrying a green N8 for a while and many strangers have come up to me and asked "what phone is that?". If you have used the Nokia N82, which was the first camera phone to come with a Xenon Flash, you will certainly appreciate the N8, especially since it also adds a 12 MP Sensor. Although the Camera is one of the best in its class, it does not come with a lens cover like the N82 or N86, which exposes it to fingerprints and dust. The 2 stage shutter button is actually nice to use. Face detection as well as high-definition video recorded at 25fps are welcome, however, Smile Detection and 30fps videos would have made it perfect. Symbian^3 is much better than S60 5th Edition, but it's certainly lagging behind the competition. In short, the N8 has overwhelming hardware and underwhelming software. The Ovi Store, Email, Social have improved but still need some major updates to make their experience enjoyable. The N8 and Symbian^3 have brought many new options in terms of connectivity, but they are still scattered and bring the experience down instead of tuning it up. I have been an Eseries user for a while and really love the call and hang up buttons present in most Nokia phones. It's really frustrating to see these missing on the N8 as even the C7 has them. Also, typing on the N8, especially using T9 is not the easiest thing in the world. The landscape mode, even though not perfect, is a lot better. Pros Excellent hardware which can surely withstand accidental drops Pentaband 3G and Quad Band GSM for the Globe Trotter Decent Call quality One of the best Cameraphones in the market Above average multimedia performance DivX and ...
