Looks like the DoT is wanting to give MNP a test run in a circle with a small population. DoT has announced that MNP will be rolled out to other circles also but no time frame has been specified. Subscribers have to send an SMS to 1900 to get a porting code which will enable them to move their number to another Operator. It will take 4 days for the migration to get completed.
