Currently the Android paid apps are available in the following countries, and folks in other parts of the world who are using Android are missing it too much, because some of the paid apps are very awesome. Now, Google has announced that they will bring the paid apps to more countries. They didn’t mention about any country, but may be they will bring it to major countries like Canada, India, Australia etc. Have a look on what Google said:

Hello,

We’re writing to inform you about some changes to Android Market that require your attention.

Over the next few weeks, we'll be adding paid apps support for additional countries.  If you have selected to publish your paid apps to all locations and intend to support all new locations as we expand the number of supported countries for paid apps, you don't have to do anything.  If you have selected to publish your paid apps to all locations but intend to only target the currently supported 14 countries, please update your location selections to target these specific countries.

Please look for follow-up emails when we introduce paid apps support for specific additional countries in the coming weeks.  At that time, you'll have the option to target these specific countries.

Thanks, and we look forward to continue working with you on Android
Market.

Sincerely,
The Android Market Team

So folks lets hope it’s coming to the country where you live. What do you say? What country deserve paid apps? Tell us !

Posted: 24 Sep 2010 04:08 PM PDT

Shazam is one of the most popular applications on Android, and if you are a music listener, then this app is must for you. The main feature of Shazam is that if you are looking for any song but you don’t remember the name of it, you can simply speak the name and artist of a song or piece of music, and you will get the song in few seconds. LG is showing some interest in Shazam, and they are planning to pre-load Shazam in all future Android phones, and the first one to come with Shazam will be the Optimus GT540. Well, there’s no big deal in it, because you are getting the free version. It would be good if LG pre-load the premium version of Shazam.

If you are on Alltel Wireless and looking for some good Android powered handset, then you might look at the Motorola Milestone. Alltel Wireless is now carrying the Motorola Milestone according to Droid Life and you can get it from your local Alltel store. Milestone is a GSM version of Motorola Droid. We all know that Motorola Milestone is a good handset, and it’s quite old, but if you are looking for a good, reliable, and a budget Android phone, then Milestone is a great choice for you. If you don’t like the Milestone, you better check out some Motorola Kings over at Verizon.

If you don’t know about Alltel Wireless, then let me tell you that Verizon acquired Alltel Wireless in January 2009 for 28 Billion, but it’s still active in 22 markets, so if you are in one of them, then you can get it. Otherwise you got Verizon on the other hand.

T-Mobile G2 benchmark result leave Nexus One behind

Posted: 24 Sep 2010 01:13 PM PDT

I saw some of the people dropped the T-Mobile G2, because they think that the 800 MHz processor in it is just a one slow processor. As I said before that the processor in G2 is a next generation processor, and it’s better than the 1 GHz processor in Nexus One, and now I have a proof for it. After the break, you will see T-Mobile G2 running Quadrant, and the benchmark result is proving that G2 is better than Nexus One. G2 benchmark score is 1499, which is higher than Nexus One which is running on Android 2.2. Have a look on the video:

So folks, what do you think? Are you getting the G2?

Samsung SGH-i916(Cetus?) leaked, posing with iPhone 4

Posted: 24 Sep 2010 10:23 AM PDT

We already know that Samsung is working on 2 Windows Phone 7 powered phones (may be their working on other WP7 phones too), and they are known as the Samsung Cetus SGH-i916 and Samsung GT-i8700. You people may have seen the GT-i8700 a few days ago, and you may also have heard about the Cetus which is coming to AT&T. Our friends our at Engadget got their hands on a shot in which you can see the Samsung Cetus is head to head with the Apple iPhone 4 in the image above. There’s a little confusion, the device model number is SGH-i916, which is a little different from Cetus model number we saw, but the design of the both devices are the same. May be the SGH-i916 is bound for Canada, and SGH-i917 is for USA, this might be true. So if  the SGH-i916 is the Canadian version, may be you will see it on Rogers, Bell, or Telus in next few months. May be this is Canada’s first WP7 device, so are you excited our Canadian fellows?
