It's HTC's turn to announce their new phones. As expected, HTC announced the Desire's successor, the HTC Desire HD, and the QWERTY-packing HTC Desire Z. The new droids will expand HTC's portfolio in the high-end and are sure to become a common theme in geeks' dreams.

HTC Desire HD
HTC Desire HD and Desire Z will both run on the latest Android OS v2.2 Froyo and will feature the Sense UI on top. The just introduced HTCSense.com services will pioneer on the Desire duo as well.

HTC Desire HD
Desire HD is the new flagman into HTC's Android lineup sporting 1GHz Snapdragon QSD8255 processor, 768MB RAM, 1.5GB ROM, 4.3-inch capacitive WVGA touchscreen, 8 megapixel camera with dual-LED flash and 720p capable camcorder.
The HTC Desire Z already launched Stateside as the T-Mobile G2 - bringing Android back to its QWERTY roots and succeeding the first ever droid, the T-Mobile G1. Besides the sliding-out keyboard, Desire Z packs 800MHz Qualcomm MSM7230 processor, 512MB RAM, 1.5GB ROM, 5 megapixel camera with LED flash and 720p video recording. It also has a 3.7" S-LCD WVGA capacitive screen, while the Desire HD has a regular LCD.

HTC Desire Z
As you can guess both handsets are full of connectivity options - 3G with HSPA, Wi-Fi b/g/n, 3.5mm audio jack, GPS, FM radio, Bluetooth and microUSB port.

In some regions, the HTC Desire HD and Desire Z should be available as soon as next month.
Today HTC also presented their new cloud-based service found at HTCSense.com. Basically it will allow you to backup your phone's content and even remotely lock or wipe your phone in case it gets lost or stolen. If you can't find where you left your phone, you can see it on the map and even make it ring at maximum level (even in silent mode) to ease your search efforts. All this thanks to the new HTCSense.com services. HTCSense.com will be free for all compatible devices.
